Queens is King | ||||||
| There's really not much to say except that if you listen to Queens music like Mobb Deep, Cormega, Nas, Nature, CNN, Tragedy Khadafi, etc. than you need this CD. It is a great all-star album, much better than QB's Finest. Best track "We Gon Buck" | ||||||

| But I hope that my review helps out some folks. Look. Straight outta North Philly. But this alb is Banging. Point Blank. I don't know all of these producers and stuff like that. But I do know good ride/thug/real/street/...whatever you wanna call it... It's all over... 41st side is hot... I hope that theres another 41st side to come out, but wit all of the beef floating around QB, I don't know... Hopefully these knuckleheads get they stuff together and get this money. They got a lot of cats hungry after this album. You gotta cop it, Baby!! Gen | ||||||
QB's Finest | ||||||
| I like a lot of QB artists, so this was a perfect album for me. Anyone who likes New York hardcore rap will love this album. Here is a song by song breakdown: Cardboard Box (5 out of 5)-Havoc produces this track featuring himself, Jackal, Littles, and Nature. Hav and Nate have the best verses and this track features a great beat. Top notch. Crush Linen (5/5)-Lake spits over an Alchemist produced track. Although I had never heard Lake before, he is a good MC and this is one of the better solo tracks on the album. Pain (5/5)- Noyd (a personal favorite of mine) and A. Dog each get a verse on this track also produced by A. Dog. This song features great lyrics, MCing, and production. My favorite track on the album. Do My Thang (3.5/5)- Killa Sha of the Killa Kids produces and rhymes on this track. I had heard Sha on Tragedy's album "Against All Odds" and thought he was pretty good. This is a good track, but a little below the previous ones. Husslers N Gangstaz (4/5)- Germ and Artillery trade verses on this track produced by Artillery. A top track about the life of hustlers and gangsters. Take U Back (3/5)- An track with an old school sound featuring Bars N Hooks, Chinky, and Don Alon and produced by Artillery. I didn't like the beat very much. Let Em Hang (3.5/5)- Nas and Lake with help from V-12 and produced by The Alchemist. A little too R&B sounding to me. Crazy 8's (4.5/5)- Littles, Wiz, Blitz, Jungle, Faul Monday, and Germ all get a verse while Lake and Prodigy do the chorus. Features good MCing and prodcution by Goodie Goodman. Why Y'all Wanna Play (4/5)- Faul Monday, Mr. Chalise, and Killa Sha unite for this track also produced by Sha. Monday and Chalise have a better flow than Sha, but a good track. Keep Doin U (3.5/5)- Craig G and Voice over a Artillery produced beat. Pretty good. We Gon Buck (5/5)- CNN, Lake, and Cormega over a good Alchemist beat. The MCs fit good together, althogh Lake and Capone sound similar. One of the best tracks on the album, although I am a big CNN fan so I could be bias. Get Back (5/5)- Prodigy, Ammo, and Tragedy shine on this track produced by Uno Dos. P and Tragedy have the best verses, but Ammo holds himself pretty well too. Right or Wrong (5/5)- One of the best tracks featuring great lyrics and MCing by Lake and Blitz. No producer is listed. This one about crime and MCing makes you really listen. 41st Side (3/5)- Bigga Du, Fly Tye, Hooks, and Don Alon unite for this average track produced by Artillery. It has a pretty good beat, but the MCing is only average. Overall, a great album with some big names and some up-and-comers from QB. Worth the price of admission. | ||||||
